Day 3 has arrived! Here's another outfit for you all. I took this this morning before I ran out to the bus. I actually ended up leaving the arm warmers home. I haven't used them for such a long time, they just feel a bit cheesy to me. Sort of like "Oh those? I bought those during my mallgoth stage." I ended up replacing them with my normal accessories. (Spiked bracelet, and a few other bangles.) They're going back in a drawer to gather dust.
This is my 'why is the camera so slow?' face. |
I planned on taking a new picture when I got home with the swapped out accessories. (And a patient smile. My phone...it tries, it really does...but its so slow.) However it seems the summer rains really have it out for me. By the time I had gotten off the bus and into my house this afternoon the storm had reduced me to a bedraggled mess.
I really love these pants. They're a little predictable, (Its pretty easy to find tartan bondage pants after all...) but all the same I love them. Most of the time (including today) I'm too lazy to reattach the straps that wrap around and cross in the back. This is more appropriate for school anyway ^^
The belt around my waist is something you'll see pop up quite a lot. It's kind of my go-to when I think an outfit is lacking something. I believe it came with an old sweater dress that my mom was throwing away.
These shoes are one of my favorite pairs. They're Steve Madden and cost only $15 at Marshalls (whereas Mom saw them for $75 in Vegas.) The heel is perfect for me, only an inch or so, because I'm already 5'11 and get self-conscious when I wear anything taller.
I love seeing all the other lovely Red and Black Week posts! After I browse through some more of the submissions I'm off to learn how to tie a tie for tomorrow's outfit.
Ta ta for now ^^
You're a good inch taller even than me! I get self-conscious sometimes if I wear really high heels. In my big stompy platforms I am all "rawr, I am gothzilla!" but the rest of the time I feel awkward in high heels.
ReplyDeleteI actually like the stripy arm warmers. When my stripy long-socks wear out at the feet, I just chop the feet off and wear them as arm-warmers.
I've always thought it might be a bit more fun in stompy boots. ^^ Unfortunately my funds don't allow for a pair at the moment so I'm waiting for my birthday :D
DeleteI thought the arm warmers might be a bit too much (cheesy in a bad mallgoth way) with the bondage pants, but that was only because I didn't have a second opinion. I have that stupid fear of looking like I'm trying too hard ^^" Thanks for the advice, maybe I'll put them to use again soon :)
I like the armwarmers, but I understand how a certain article of clothing can become associated with another time in your life and lose its appeal. Either way, it's a great outfit all around!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I just need to find the right outfit, one that makes me feel like I'm not overdoing it in a bad way with the arm warmers. With all the positive feedback I'm feeling a lot better about them, I just needed some other opinions :)
DeleteI'm loving all the plaid I'm seeing this week. I don't own any, but I am inspired. Great outfit.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love plaid/tartan print. The majority of my red clothes are this pattern actually ^^
DeleteI love your tartan pants..and those shoes, uh-may-zing! <3
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Those shoes are my babies <3 I need to get them fixed though, the pads on the bottom have worn down so much and I'm afraid I'll start damaging the wooden heel D:
