Etsy Feature

Today's Etsy feature doesn't have a particular theme. I've been cleaning out my desktop and browsing through my old folder of Etsy goodies so I pulled all of these out on a whim. Of course, when I made this folder I didn't say whose creations they were, which irks me because I can't give these wonderful artists credit. So like usual, I can only say if you see something here you like try browsing Etsy using some keywords that seem as if they would uncover said item. I also sincerely hope that most of these still exist on Etsy, and haven't been bought up.

Book purses! I'm almost entirely certain these are still for sale
I still want a capelet very badly

This hair comb is simply gorgeous
Not particularly "spooky" but a piece of jewelry with  your fingerprint is a lovely idea
City tights! I know that these are still available as they're on my wishlist.
This could actually be very handy.
There's the whimsical side of me again. Can I be an elf pretty please?
This net shirt is gorgeous, but I vaguely remember it being expensive...
Not all of our hats have to be black ;)
Steampunky goggles would make a nice head accessory
I actually bought these gloves! They're very nicely made.
Is that a teacup? I believe it is! I must have it.
This doll is adorably creepy

Also, while I'm blatantly spamming you with pictures I've got an outfit post for you. I also forgot to show you the Spiderman plushie I bought at Islands of Adventure! Isn't he simply adorable?

Hunching over to get away from that awful light XD
I attempted a beehivey thing with my hair that day

Etsy Feature ~ Crows and Ravens

Well, it's been a while since I did this, which is rather silly considering how much time I spend browsing Etsy. Last time I believe I did a skull-centered one, so this time it's crows and ravens~ They're awfully stereotypical aren't they? But really, those black feathers make for all sorts of great accessories. And bird skulls. You can't go wrong with bird skulls.

Unfortunately, these pictures have been sitting around on my desktop for a while, so I can't tell you who's stores they come from. Searching something based on a description should work fine, as long as the items haven't been sold already, and I'm fairly sure all of these are still available. (With perhaps one or two exceptions)

A simple ear cuff
Tricorn <3
Difficult to make work, but oh so lovely.

I like how ornate this one is.
I don't like putting up my hair, but this would do very nicely.

Ok, this one is just here because I think it's beautiful.

Something for around the house~

This scarf has got Poe's poem written all over it :D

Raven perfume?
Interesting, but perfume makes me sneeze so none for me thank you.

This is one of my favorites, but I remember it being very expensive.
No practical use whatsoever~
But hey, there's always Halloween, or maybe a masquerade..?

I'd have absolutely nowhere to wear this...

Or this...but it's awfully pretty.

And that's it for today. No outfit because I'm very lazy. Oh, but I did finally watch Skyfall. (Took me long enough) I...actually I thought it was fantastic. Visually, it was very stunning. I liked the character development and the fact that Bond was off his game. I loved Silva as a villain. I had sympathy for him, but not enough to want him to win, so that was a nice change. (Villains lately...I've just been siding with so many XD) And while my dad might be a bit annoyed with the fact that there's a new Q I think Ben Winshaw was wonderful (And just a little bit adorable) and I really hope he gets a bigger part in the next movie. What did you guys think? I haven't seen an awful lot of the older Bond movies (a few here and there) so my judgement may be a bit biased.

Etsy Feature~ Bats

I've been Etsy hunting again! This time the theme is bats because I honestly can't get enough of the adorable things. It's also been brought on because I'm celebrating the return of the bats to our house. They disappeared for a while, but now they're back. I think they're living in the bat houses like they used to and already the mosquito population is back down. And it's so much fun to watch them swoop over the lake and drink the water ^^

I love the intricate designs within the wings.

For a change of pace from just black or stripey tights and fishnets.

I'm secretly hoping my junior prom will be a masquerade so I can buy this.

I like the contrast between the black and white.

If you're really enthusiastic...there's always bat specimens.
Though I'm not sure I would want to sleep with this in my room ^^

On a side note, I just bought my tickets for Halloween Horror Nights 2012! So far, the only themes that have been released are ABC's The Walking Dead and Silent Hill, but I'm definitely excited.

Etsy Feature~ Spooky Cute Shoes

I'm here with my latest Etsy discovery! Emandsprout has the most adorable little shoes ever! Instead of talking about them, let me just spam you with pictures.

I think we've all figured out I enjoy having bats on my feet.
Dracula flats anyone?
Or Frankenstein?
Or you could get both!
These felt more...summery...to me. What with the flowers and all.
All of the shoes are about $25. I can't tell you exactly how they fit because I blew all my money in Sweden, but if you really need to know you can always contact the shop. I absolutely love how friendly and helpful people are on Etsy. (Of course, they are trying to sell you something so they should be polite, but you'd be surprised at the number of rude people I've dealt with on Ebay.) I'm going to purchase at least one pair of these myself once I get a little bit of money.

Another Goth Marketing Ploy + Bats on my Feet!

Ok, how many times have you gotten the "You look like Abby from NCIS" remark? Strangely enough I haven't, because we can't wear spiked things to school, and people around here aren't into the habit of speaking to strangers. (It's more of an open glare.) However, I know a bunch of people have gotten this, and from stories I've heard it seems that no matter what you actually look like, if someone watches the show and you're wearing a choker they see this.

Now don't get me wrong. I love Abby. I love NCIS. But I can understand how annoying this could get. Best strategy here is probably just smile and nod. Right about now, you're probably wondering why I'm going on this tangent about Abby. I mean its just a TV show right? Well, this is why. (Brace yourselves.)

The CBS is selling "goth accessories".

Yep, that was the sound of every goth in the world gasping in horror. Why would they do this? Actually scratch that, its all for the money of course. But still, um, I'm pretty sure if I wanted to buy a choker I wouldn't look here...

Look at this, just look.

I'm fairly certain those things will be of questionable quality, and from the comments on their Facebook they've been getting one of these three responses.

  • People informing us how hot they think she is, and how much they'd love to get in bed with her seems to be the number one choice... (Some things should be kept to yourself, or at least off of Facebook.)
  • Then there's the overeager fangirls claiming they loooove her but they wouldn't wear any of it. (Good for you?)
  • Finally, there's the people blatantly bashing the evilness of goth. (Which is always entertaining.)

The few goths that actually commented just recommended other places to buy accessories XD

Yeah, so I'm not sure how long they'll keep this up...I'm thinking sales won't be so great, (They might have a chance around Halloween...) but overall this whole thing is just funny.

Anyway, when I'm sad I tend to buy things. (NOT a healthy habit people) So yesterday I ended up purchasing these from Etsy.

Some cheesy fun to be had right there my friends.
